New film “The Reason” now playing in Screening Room.

September 1st, 2009

About 18 months ago my friend Michael Chance wrote and directed a short film called “The Reason“. I helped with various tasks on the project including securing some locations, assistant directing and even a little acting. It was a fun project  to work on, real cop cars, fake blood and stunt work! BTW- I play a deranged, violent perp (now you really want to see it right)!

Being a busy guy Michael fell behind in post and the project drifted in limbo for a while. The biggest factor in this being Mike’s strive for perfection, he wanted it to be right. I just received a finished copy last week and let me be the the first to say that it was well worth the wait. He did an amazing job on every aspect of the film and it shows. I have no doubt that this project will turn some heads on the festival circuit. In addition to finishing the film Mike’s new website has just gone live and it looks great!

Head over to the screening room when you get a chance and give “The Reason” a look see. Let me know what you think in the comments, yes you can even critique my acting.

Caught in the act!

Oh, why thank you, thank you Steffany! You’re too kind, yes I did do a pretty awesome job. Haha, really was a fun shoot though. The director is working on a new project that looks amazing, more to come. Thx for watching.

  3. Jacob – you carried so much emotion and truth in your performance + it was just fun working with you on this film! I remember all the late nights of doing test falls from atop a ladder onto mattresses in your warehouse.

Thanks for being patient and the film speaks for itself – you did a remarkable job. Look forward to collaborating more in the future.

Jake, you have mad skills. This film was very impressive. You’ve come a long way since I played a burgular in one of your first films back in ‘93. Wish you the best…keep up the good work. Never let it die. Peace out.
